Partners with IT and business stakeholders to architect and design systems and processes that also shape and build the foundation.
Responsible to strategically design, configure, implement, and maintain custom developed applications, third-party software and enterprise systems integration within a HIPAA regulated environment
Participates in requirements analysis to arrive at a robust design for the business ask.
Manages technical risk by identifying and advocating for the best possible solution as well as Identify inefficiencies or gaps (data integrity, security, performance, manageability, etc.)
Drives design for a secure, efficient, and adaptable future state systems. Ensures that new projects and migrations are in alignment with the IT capital budget, project portfolio, and IT/enterprise strategic goals.
Works closely with the business and IT teams (departmental and enterprise teams) to help the designs align with the bigger strategic picture
Provides in-depth technical consultation to Application Tech Leads and Engineers to ensure system architecture aligns with the current and target state of the Application Architecture.
*Chicago, IL preferred location but other locations will be considered also.
Minimum Requirements: Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 3 years of experience architecture/design in relevant technology disciplines; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in Information Technology with at-least 3 years of work experience as Integration Architect.
Experience preferred in health insurance domain specifically in the areas of Claims, Members, providers, and Medical Management preferred.
Advocates Automation, OSS usage, and Observability in the solutions.
Proven experience and in-depth knowledge in designing Solutions based on Microservices (.Net Core and/or Java SpringBoot) and event-based patterns
Familiar with principles of designing cloud ready solutions.
Solid understanding of Application design patterns, including integration patterns based on REST, services-based integrations, caching patterns.
Preferred experience in Data design and NoSQL (MongoDB) data principles and patterns.
Experience of working in an Agile development environment
Broad technical knowledge, and ability to quickly assimilate new skills
Strong communication skills, both written and oral with the ability to translate technical expressions into easy to understand and clear language, and proven collaboration skills with IT and Business leadership.
Understanding of architecture governance and solution design management processes
Experience working with business process and workflows automation to align end to end processes.
