Job Title: IT Business Systems Analyst Senior / Advisor

NOTE: This position can be filled at IT Business Systems Analyst Senior, Advisor, or Senior Advisor level. The hiring manager will determine the level, based on the candidate’s experience and background.

Collaborates with business and IT partners to facilitate and support the development of detailed scope statements and high level business requirements in development efforts.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with Business and IT partners. Identifies, initiates, and drives opportunities to support business activities.

  • Leads the high-level requirements development process.

  • Supports elicitation/development of high-level and detailed business requirements for large- to program-level efforts.

  • Partners with Account Managers collaborating on business opportunities and solutions.

  • Identifies opportunities to strengthen Account manager effectiveness.

  • Supports the management of integrated (business, functional and technical) requirements and design including participation and oversight in defining enterprise-related processes and changes in alignment with industry. Supports development of strategic plans and technology solutions to meet business requirements across the enterprise.

  • Proactively addresses customer issues, works with Business and IT partner to develop alternatives and is empowered to implement business and process solutions.

  • Supports solution implementation across enterprise initiatives; ensures system is implemented according to plan. Addresses risks and implements contingency plans to resolve issues impacting business or IT objectives across the enterprise.

Qualifications

SENIOR:

  • Requires an AA/AS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study

  • Minimum of 4 years experience with documenting requirements and/or building test cases for a variety of technologies;

  • Or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Experience testing/product quality processes, tools and methods and an understanding or organizational impacts and trade-offs of quality processes strongly preferred.

  • Project management experience and training in facilitation strongly preferred.

    ADVISOR:

  • Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study

  • Minimum of 6 years experience in a variety of technologies, documenting requirements and/or building test cases;

  • Or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst certifications strongly preferred.

  • Experience with mainframe computer, hardware and operating systems and the impacts of changes in the systems stream, testing/product quality processes, tools and methods strongly preferred. Experience with Rational tools, Six Sigma or other process improvement training strongly preferred.

    SENIOR ADVISOR:

  • Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study

  • And a minimum of 8 years experience in a variety of technologies, documenting requirements and/or building test cases;

  • Or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst certifications strongly preferred.

  • Experience with mainframe computer, hardware and operating systems and the impacts of changes in the systems stream, testing/product quality processes, tools and methods strongly preferred.

  • Experience with Rational tools, Six Sigma or other process improvement training strongly preferred

    Additional Skills:

  • Project management experience and healthcare knowledge required.

  • Requires a basic understanding of testing/product quality processes, tools and methods and an understanding or organizational impacts and trade-offs of quality processes.

  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Experience working in an Agile environment; SAFe Certification preferred

  • Prior experience preferred with data warehousing - relational databases (Teradata, Oracle, SQL server)

  • Hadoop, Spark, Python, Java working knowledge preferred

  • Cloud computing (AWS-S3, Snowflake, Redshift, others);

  • Query languages such as SQL;

  • Business Intelligence Tools such as SAS, Tableau, Business Objects
