Principal Designer

The Prinicapl Designer is responsible for delivery of end to end application, system development and maintenance on complex multi technology platforms within assigned client group, business unit or corporate department and utilizing various customer technology platforms.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to.

  • Strong experience with UI Application Development (Single-Page Applications) with Pega PRPC/Pega Frameworks.

  • Strong functional programming skills in JavaScript, well versed with ES6+, CSS3, HTML5

  • Should be proficient in identifying reusable components and be able to build/evolve/maintain the components to speed up future development

  • Collaborate closely with product management, architects, and customers to translate use cases and requirements into simple responsive user interfaces

  • Collaborate closely with support and sustaining teams to understand how our customers interact with the products

  • Hands on experience in Pega Cosmos UI framework

  • Coach and mentor other members of the UI team

  • Should be willing to work with distributed global teams

  • Hands on experience in a variety of JavaScript libraries and frameworks - React , AngularJS.

  • Experience in developing solutions and guiding commercial grade, responsive, cross-platform applications for multiple devices

  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience with cross browser support, caching and optimization techniques (css sprite, minify, gzip, data uri) for faster page load times

  • Experience in component driven design to guide the teams in building applications with performance and reusability

  • Knowledge of security protocols and application to safeguard applications

  • Familiarity with web stack (HTTP, WebSockets, cookies, asset loading / caching), including protocols and web server optimization techniques

  • Good understanding in principles of accessibility

  • Should be well versed with test driven development and be knowledgeable on associated tools and practices

  • Genuinely excited about technology, have a strong interest in learning and playing with the latest technologies


  • Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 7 years related experience; multi platform, multi-dimensional experience, and expert level experience with business and technical applications; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • 8+ years’ experience of UI development, with Pega Technologies.

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred to have CSSA Certification from Pegasystem
