Description

The Info Sec Executive Advisor – Cybersecurity Portfolio & Business Management is a strategic role chartered with Strategic Planning, Program & Project Management, Executive Communications, Business alignment and support, Financial and Budget management. This person will also act as Chief of Staff & Program Leader for the Head of the Cybersecurity Threat Management for Anthem.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • In partnership with leadership help set strategic direction for continued program evolution and maturation for cyber defense and threat management function.

  • Manage the cybersecurity threat management program & project portfolio

  • Apply Program Management methodology to effectively guide program level initiatives from ideation to implementation and maturity beyond.

  • Provide guidance and oversight to ensure projects goals and commitments underpinning the program are delivered as designed and within budget and time commits.

  • Provide oversight, alignment, and cohesion of functional teams into the overarching team mission and objectives; further align with the Office of the CISO mission and Strategic Pillars.

  • Partner with leadership, sourcing, and finance to methodically plan and successfully execute on financial commitments.

  • Partner with leadership, respective subject experts and Value Added Resellers (VARs) to identify the best technological solutions for our environment as well obtain the most cost effective pricing.

  • Manage the technology portfolio for cyber defense and threat management establishes architecture oversight and planning for information and network security technologies; leads development of an information security risk management program that includes business, regulatory, industry practices and technical environment considerations.

  • Share the Cyber Security Threat Management narrative, success, and metrics at the highest organizational levels to include Anthem Board of Directors and Information Security focused Steering Committees. This includes communicating through a variety of channels – presentations, documents, brochures, and emails

  • Educate constituents of Cyber Security Threat Management mission and objectives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • BS/BA in Information Technology or related field of study and a minimum of 10 years experience in systems administration and security aspects of information systems, access management and network security technologies, network communications, computer networking, telecommunications, systems development and management, hardware, software, data, and people; experience with multiple technical and business disciplines required; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience leading project teams and providing direction for professionals. Within Technology and Cybersecurity, a plus.

  • leadership and management experience leading direct, matrixed, and geographically dispersed teams, vendors, and stakeholders; in Cybersecurity a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, coach, train, and mentor staff.

  • Strong executive presence, effective communication skills, including facilitation, negotiation, and persuasion.

  • Ability to communicate across technology and business aisles through written and oral channels.

  • Background in regulated industries and related regulations, privacy, and compliance standards and frameworks such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, NIST CSF, and HiTrust a plus.

  • Effective financial and budget management and oversight.

  • Ability to develop and communicate cybersecurity KPIs and KRIs geared towards executive management up to the BOD.

  • Industry and IS certifications a plus.
